Just got an email that I won a deer preference point!

No word yet on elk.

No Deer tag for me, but did draw a bear tag. Hopefully I get an elk tag.

Drew a Archery Deer tag.

Which coincides with my New Mexico draw hunt but I'll gladly eat that tag to go to Colorado.

Sounds like you need to just take more vacation

I drew a Unit 67 2nd season mule deer tag. I had 4 points prior to the draw. My buddy drew the same tag, as well. I'm pretty excited. I think I'll be successful for elk during the same time, so I will most likely get that one refunded if I get the tag.

my buddies drew the same tag in Colorado as well, so we will be going together. I could theoretically hunt both and just drive up to CO to meet them but I don't know how the wife will tolerate me being gone the whole month of September and half of October

Buy her a spa package, new furniture and go hunt.

I spend most of the year encouraging mine to go on girls weekends, visit her mom, take a solo vacation, etc.

Make sure you document it!!! It comes in handy, also estimate costs, (don’t use the cost card unless it’s absolutely necessary, creates long term one upmanship)

I drew a bull tag for 67 2nd season, too. I will probably turn it in to focus my efforts on mule deer though. I tried hunting deer and elk during the same season in 2018 and it was difficult (although I did harvest a 325 6x6).

I had 235 Mulie with in 15 yards of me twice in the same week with no tag, I’d rather eat a tag then have to pass

No elk or deer for me. Still got a chance at pronghorn.

I'm excited! I drew my first choice again for the fifth year in a row. Sometimes I think I pick preference point only so i can say I drew. Archery elk is a couple points away. Deer are a good four years away. But we're gonna draw that prongorn tag in Wyoming this year and if we have time we'll do an otc elk or bear hunt.

Congrats to all who drew! I drew everything I applied for, preference points for elk, mule deer, bear, and pronghorn. Gonna try to draw some units that need points in a few years while I concentrate on my young bird dogs for a few seasons. Gonna scout some units while chasing blue grouse with them in September.
