many of us hunt deer with our detachable AISC magazines. What is legal capacity in texas to hunt whitetail deer

No limits, other than how much weight you can carry. So I guess the answer is really a question - Just how big an ol' boy are you?

ya'll are correct I thought I remembered when I was going deer hunting with mr AR-15, I had to use a 5 round magazine

ya'll are correct I thought I remembered when I was going deer hunting with mr AR-15, I had to use a 5 round magazine I'm pretty sure it was about 10 years ago, maybe longer. Unlimited now.

I hunt with a 5 rounder regardless. If I miss 5 times (heck, if I miss twice), I need to spend some more time at the range.
Disclaimer: I don’t hunt pigs often. I’ll throw a 20 rounder in there if swine is on the menu.

There are no limits in Texas law for hunting rifle or shotgun. Federal law limits shotguns for migratory birds to 3 rounds.
