How’s this over under? $700 new seems like a steal but who knows.

About 20 years ago I shot a round of skeet with a budy who had one in 20 ga. It was real solid and shot great. $700 well spent if you ask me... I really like them!

A mentor and good friend sold me one made for like $600. My second shotgun and first ou. Loved it. 100% reliable when I had it. First owner apparently put about about 10,000 rounds through it as a beginner competition clay gun. Friend friend put a couple thousand rounds and I've shot about 3-4 thousand as well. I got really into sporting clays and dove hunting for a brief period.

Mine totally feels like thousands of rounds have been shot through it and used often, not so gently always either. I only stopped using it because I won a beretta semi once. I still absolutley love the Weatherby Orion.

Wow, didn't realize they were only $700.

Good guns, a frIend has one, I had the Athena for a while...it seemed to me that they kicked a bit more than others but that was a while back.

It depends on year, those guns have been made by at least two different companies. The early SKB ones are great, not sure about the newer ones.

The new Orions are made in Turkey but they're all steel and have the same/similar type action as a Beretta 686 series. The older SKB versions are better overall quality but for $700, probably a good buy there.
