You all get all butt hurt when folks post for sale ads when powder, bullets and ammo are out every where but a guy posts a full blown SCREWING on a CoAx press and no one says anything. What are your rules and where are the lines for the mob to attack?

FWIW - I don’t care what folks ask for stuff, it is when they are clearly WAY over priced and continue to bump the thread 70 times is the only aggravating part for me. It’s almost got to the point where I rarely buy anything here because there is never a deal anymore and when I post something for sale more times than not I get aggravated due to all the low balling. This is by FAR the cheapest group of folks of all the forums I visit. Example - I posted my truck on here at a VERY fair price (a buyer ended up buying it for less than a 1k from what I had it listed for here) and someone offered me over 5k less than I was asking. It took everything in my power not to tell them to go [censored] themselves but I just declined.

So where are the lines, y’all are confusing me and isn’t offering pennies on the dollar just as bad as asking over msrp?

You’re not supposed to mob anybody. Most of us know what things are worth and ignore those that are out of line. I saw the Coax and thought it was really bad but somebody might pay it and it’s not my business if stupid people can’t use the internet to find values.

Serious question: What does it matter what someone asks for their stuff?

Market sets the price. If it's too high, it won't sell. Carry on.

Judd,

A small percentage knows what a Co-Ax press is. A smaller percentage knows what it's worth.

A much higher percentage knows what .223 ammo, and 9mm ammo is worth, in normal times.

Not dealing with a majority of people that are hand loaders.

Judd- FWIW I agree with you -but- this is a hobby for almost all of us. As previously stated things sell when priced fairly. My dealings here have been way to the plus side. My 2 cents worth. Sometimes I will reach out to a guy that is fairly new to offer some advice. Cannot think of one time they did not thank me for it.

It's kinda hoaky, but it is helpful sometimes when someone say "buy with confidence from ...." or "that is a good deal!". Its a free bump too.

I Lol’d on the Coax price. Seems most of the sellers in classifieds are dealers of sort. Gun show dealers with the prices most are asking. I do see deals from time to time but they get bought up quick. Some by the “dealers and then resold for a higher price.

I do care where people price their stuff. I won't invest my time and energy to engage - it's like choosing to chat with a phone solicitor instead of not answering or simply hanging up.

Obviously, the most effective approach is zero response to those kinds of listings.

A couple of the members who got so twisted up recently over the high asking prices ARE the same members who PM me lowball offers ($500 for a 1200 upper).

Frustrating but I press the ignore button and motor on...

Saw a guy on here buy a nice No 1 for 800 or so then he had it listed at 1200 two days later.

Not sure what the seller means by no backorder. I generally laugh at people who list things way overpriced.

Yep I don’t have a clue what a Co-Ax press is, but I know 9mm 223 and bottom tear ARs are worth.

When I see something that’s at a ridiculous price, I usually just ignore it. I don’t think the sellers are stupid. But the buyer might be stupid. When I was in the trading business, we had a name for the clueless people that would either pay too much or buy something they shouldn’t. We called them “Mikey’s”, from the old commercial where Mikey would eat anything. Not any Mikeys on this forum, which is good, I suppose.

In the buying and selling business, don’t offer something for sale at the exact price you want. That is stupid, because you aren’t likely to get your price, unless it’s something small and inexpensive.

Bingo. I recently sold quite a few items on here...223 ammo, rifle, etc. It all sold within 2 days, in fact, most of it sold within an hour. If something is priced decent it sells fast.

I know nothing about reloading or what a COAX press is. What happened to the days of negotiating between both parties? Make an offer, counter offer or move on.

You want a number?

I’m not your guy...

I’ll say for example, if there’s a hurricane and you list a $800 generator for 5k it’s illegal now

So, when you list a $400 AR for $1500 I don’t mind saying something (until I got banned)

It’s not rocket science

Pretend you don’t know what gougin is, we believe you🙄

Sorry Judd but I may be one of those guys you don't like selling. I don't sell much, at all, but when I do I ask slightly more than I expect to get. In fact, I have a 22mag for sale that I've asked NIB pricing for. Of course it has aftermarket stock. I usually lower the price every few days until it's gone. I've done it that way with my old trucks, and other stuff. If someone pays me a little more than what it's really worth, that's not on me, it's on them. Want a 22mag?
