Each of these 4 pics is progressively closer. MAN, these little boogers are hard to see until you are right on top of them. There was a BUNCH of them at our place over Memorial Day weekend

Like to see the young ones. I opened our front door to walk the dogs this morning and had a doe in the front yard. She chased all 4 dogs and then came at me. Apparently she has a fawn hidden somewhere around the house, time to grab the camera and go looking.

Truly amazing how they can hide.
I always get so worried when I start laying down my coastal with a disc mower. Last year about this time I jumped 4 of them out of a 10 acre pasture I was cutting. Two of them literally jumped up and took off with the blades of the disc mower within a couple feet of em. I would have been sick if I'd hit one.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I was bush hogging when this one stumbled around in the weeds in front of me. So new it couldn’t even walk. Just stumbled, fell, stumbled again. I shut the tractor down to get the pic. Walked right past it. Saw it when I turned around and looked from the other direction. I shut off the blades and went back out the way I came in. Shredding isn’t that important right now. I’ll do it later after these guys are moving around more.

I almost stepped on one this time last year. They sure can hide well.

Cool pics thanks for posting!

Very dangerous to shred during fawning time. If they are young enough they will hold and you will get em.
In HS i ran a sickle mower for the county and was mowing somewhere around Cedar Park--it was way out in country then. Stopped blade inches from a fawn and I got off and picked her up. Ended up raising her which was stupid but I did lots stupid when young.

At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR
