Hello I am new to this forum and had an idea to share with you all. I was just curious if having live streaming Virtual Reality cameras that users can log onto through an app would be of any interest to you all? It could also be mounted on vehicles for more video content that way as well. I have not seen much out there yet using VR for hunting or watching game at feeders. Let me know what you all think. Thanks for your input!

Personally, ive gotten a little uncomfortable with all the technology we have in hunting and everyone can draw that line where they want but thats over the line for me.
Im curious why you want to know. Are you wanting to peddle that technology or are you wanting to know how far hunters will go? Since this is your first post its a little hard to know your motivation.

Virtual reality and live streaming video aren’t the same thing. Live streaming of a hunt is already available with the ATN x-site it whatever it’s called.

The xsight by ATN will stream what the shooter sees in the scope to an iPhone or iPad nearby. Actually a cool concept for young shooters or new hunters other than their product being a total POS.

You can do it with Pulsars as well. Several other brands have wifi capabilities, but I don't know if they will live stream or not. So alexd, what do you have in mind?

I know folks that have hooked VR headsets to both scopes and monocs for walking or viewing. They don't function like regular VR in this configuration.

Agree! Too much of this takes the fun out hunting.

Agreed. However unless we kill them with our hands then there is some 'technology" in all our methods. I use a scoped rifle, corn feeders and game cameras among other basic modern conveniences. Some would call that high tech and to each his own. When i first saw this thread i thought it was about doing high end surveillance remotely and then the monitoring hunter would go to that area to kill. For me that would be way beyond my personal ethics. I actually thought the brand new OP member might be representing non hunters and be trying to see if we would bite on the concept.

No I’m definitely a hunter smile. Shot 2 nice mule deer out in the Davis mountains last year.

I really just wanted to try and put a couple at some feeders we have and just viewing the game coming into the feeders would be fun to watch! I also thought about mounting on a car and getting some video that way as well. Sorry for the confusion.

I take a lil' video recorder with me each time. I spend much more time videoing and studying those videos than I do shooting, harvesting and preparing game. I have never recorded my own kill shot. For that matter, I can't recall recording anyone else's kill shot.

I'm confused. How is it VR if you are streaming reality? To answer the question, no, I just hunt.

Because it's either sending 360 degree video or it moves when you move. And no, I don't even use traditional game cameras.
