I've been burned on used motors before. Makes me wary.
If I could find a used jon shell that would be great.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

Duck boat buy sell trade on Facebook is good. Might be hard to find the 18 to 20’ boats since it’s based in Arkansas and you don’t need a boat that big in timber. If buying an older 2 stroke check the prop and compression and that will help knowing if the motor is in good shape. You might find something used on Craigslist locally but that style boat just isn’t very popular. You’ll typically find the older riveted boats

My plan is to get a riveted boat and weld it up. May not work but for the cost of an old jon boat it would be fun to try.
