I was sent this by my Dad yesterday....I did not realize the CARES Act provides a provision for payments to ranchers. The amount is according to number of head, will be a nice little bonus check for livestock owners.


The government is also providing payments to farmers of certain crops...details here:

Pretty sure once dust settles I’ll still be negative on my feeders, I wouldn’t call it a bonus, more of a small reprieve of loss

Every participant is subject to audit. I'm on the county FSA Board. It's a help and I'm thankful but it won't make up the loss in cattle prices. I don't think anyone owes me a dime but if they're giving it away, I want my part.
