Good insight, thanks for offering. Ive heard about all i need until theres new facts. Im gonna try to stay off this thread, too disturbing to me.

I do however want to correct some misconceptions about the LEO’s knee on the neck of the subject. This misconception has surfaced time and again throughout recent LEO related deaths. When you cut off someone’s airway sufficiently to cause death the person being choked would not be able to speak as clearly as the man on the ground was speaking. He was saying he couldn’t breath but the LEO’s knee was on the side of his neck not on the front where the trachea is most vulnerable. The carotid artery however is very vulnerable. When sufficient pressure is applied to the carotid artery it cuts off blood flow and oxygen to the brain which in effect causes you to pass out. If the pressure is continued it could and often does lead to death. Again, not excusing the LEO’s actions. IMHO, extremely and recklessly negligent.
Once the subject was under control, which seems to be most if not the entire time of the video, he should have been put in the car and removed from the scene. Extending their time at the scene just led to more agitated onlookers.

Very well stated, exactly what I was thinking.

I'm extremely angry at the Governor, he finally activated the National guard just before 4pm too late to have troops in place today. The request from the Minneapolis mayor came last night. He lost 8 to 12 valuable hours which is inexcusable. He served in the Guard and knows the drill, if he had shown some leadership, troops could have been on site this evening because there is an MP Company in the Metro Area.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

'Won't bother posting the regurgitated BS my uber-liberal daughter-in-law posted about this tragic event. Mind-numbing as to the effects that are generated by a few cop's very bad decisions. I firmly believe that these men are not the norm of our protectors. 'Heard a country song today about "The Weight of the Badge". These men made poor decisions and we all have to pay.

And... the LA 'hood takes the opportunity to get into the act and loot too. ' No concept they're contributing to the problem. And the wheels on the bus go round and round.

Going to be another tough night for the decent folks up there. Why would a business reopen in those neighborhoods if that's what's going to happen every time someone feels wronged?

Hard to make a living when your business is closed.

I like how you threw the “I’ll wait” in there, as though I wouldn’t have a response. That’s cute. roflmao

Died from dumbassary -- if you can't admit that then we need to send you to a couch. GOOD police serve and protect and we are appreciative of that except when it doesn't fit our views. Part of that protection is also protecting us from ourselves. Whether the cause is ExDS, suffocation, asphyxiation (i.e. blood flow cutoff to the brain), it doesn't matter. At some point you have to realize the pivot in the situation and move from restraint to aid rendered.

So, why the jackass comment? I'll wait

Tlew , that makes zero sense . How could he not breath if he was talking, and " his stomach, than leg hurt, and wanted a drink of water"? Even his buddies were saying " stop man get in the car". I guess you guys saw more footage to what the rest of the World has seen .

The officers also called the ambulance to aid the guy . Please tell me your medical experience Sneaky and couch guy . Il wait
