I like savage rifles. Adds another option for those starting out their kids and that is good. Just when you think they can’t get any uglier though, Savage did it anyway. Not good...

I hear you. Still, I don't think there's anything uglier than some of those long-range setups that carry much the same look as the .22 rifles used in the Olympics. No surprise gun makers appear to be providing customers with the looks and features they desire. High-grade wood stocks seem to be getting less common these days.

I think it is a great idea. I have had expensive rifles, cheap rifles, custom rifles, high end target and counter sniper rifles... I ain't rich, but owning a gun shop I can hunt with anything.... usually it's a Savage 10FP-C 20 inch .308... fits, shoots perfect, durable... never an issue... have others

If you think the AccuFit stock is ugly, check out this work of art.

But then, who am I to say what's ugly. Nine Academy customers gave it an average score of 4.7 out of 5.

I'm gonna get flamed...but, IMO, if Savage fixed thier extraction issues, they would be the best rifle mfg in the world. Accurate out of the box, consistent, dependable, affordable, and now adjustable. And not as ugly as the lever abomination above. If you like wood, look up the 125th anniversary savage.

I have one that's pretty much become a safe queen. I contacted Savage and was told they didn't complete their limited run of 1,894 units but a few are still available NIB on the resale market.

You’re not going to get flamed, at least I don’t think so. They have a weak extraction spring but the funny thing is most hunters will never tax that spring to it’s limits....it’s the shooters that find the fault.

Also, FWIW....I think they are ugly and don’t like them but there is no way for me to say they aren’t accurate. I’ve not seen one yet that wouldn’t shoot well within minute of animal.

I'll take an "ugly" shooter over a pretty POS any day of the week.

My Ultralite in 6.5 PRC is looking like it'll a great shooter. Also picked up a 110 Storm in 6.5 CM. First time out it was doing consistent .75" groups (3-shot).

Their looks will "improve" once they get blood on them, dings, scratches, etc.
