whats the local bird population looking like Stompy? The last 2 years have been bad on our place (just south of Throckmortan) We thinks a combo of lack of feed and horrible bird hatch were the culprits.

About typical here. I agree, not a good hatch the past two years. I had a bunch of birds show up here in December on the second season and a lot of them have stuck around.

Looking Good. On our place up north of Eliasville I was seeing a crazy amount of local birds during Turkey season. With all the rain we have had and no cattle currently the wild sunflowers on our lease were growing everywhere. Even under the mesquites, but not quite as tall yet as those on Stompy's place.

Not this year, I do every other year. This year I did a deep chisel plow then dragged it with a harrow.

You have a couple fields right there by Canyon Road, yes? We went there for dinner last weekend, saw quite a few fields that looked like they were doing really well. Never have been able to get mine to come up that well.

Yes, I don't own those fields but I do the bookings for that ranch. I worked with him on what he needed to do, he's got a good crop this year.
