Now that Lowes is carrying Craftsman branded tools, is anyone picking up the battery powered tools? If so, how are yall liking them? Seems they get pretty decent reviews. Pretty good price point too.

Stanley Black and Decker currently own the Craftsman brand. In my head, that would make it questionable, but I used my neighbors drill, it was good enough for me. But remember at my age, I am not looking for tools to work all day. 30 minutes and I am recharging my own battery, screw that work al day stuff.

Yep. I'll stick with Ryobi.

Since many of you (Bob smile) have raved about Ryobi, I bought the wife a battery powered blower (the biggest one Home Depot had) and myself the backpack sprayer. She likes the blower, since it's fairly light. Compared to a gas-powered Stihl, it just goes "poo" in my opinion, but she's happy, so I'm happy.

I was so excited about cutting and spraying mesquite (I'm new to this), I just poured in the Remedy and Diesel and got busy one day. Second day it wouldn't spray. Checked everything out, starting at the tip of the "wand". When I finally looked in the liquid bin, there was just a loose hose floating around and a little screen attachment, nothing attaching the hose to the nipple at the bottom of the bin. Someone in China no workee good. Plus the chintzy little cover over the rear-mounted battery falls off if you brush against anything and it's design is just stupid. Took it back to Home Depot, got my money back and bought a Field Pro off of Amazon. Gonna try it tomorrow. Battery mounts between the liquid bin and your back, in an enclosed compartment. 'Seems to make a lot more sense.

I hope Lowe's and the owners can restore Craftsman name to its former glory. I still use the Craftsman hand tools (wrenches, sockets, etc.) that Dad gave me in 1976. Nothing else compares, 'cept maybe SnapOn. confused2

https://www.wcpo.com/money/consumer...owes-honor-craftsman-lifetime-warranties

A Lowe's Corporate Communications spokeswoman, Maureen Wallace, told us Lowe's stores should honor the Craftsman Lifetime warranty "if we have the product." But due to differences between Sears and Lowe's tools that may not always be possible.

But the bottom line is if your tool breaks, you may want to call Craftsman customer service first at 888-331-4569, if you don't have a Sears nearby, because you may not always be able to get a replacement at Lowe's.

As always don't waste your money.

Everything else is junk.

I've been buying Milwaukee tools and trying to add to the collection a little at a time. But dadgum, it gets costly, especially the batteries.

In that order too, and I can admit that I am full DeWalt. They have the stuff I need where Milwuakee doesn't, otherwise I would go red. I won't mix and match anymore though so yellow it is

Rhyobi 18 volt is fine if your careful with it, also the Ryobi 40 volt line is completely different than the 18volt.

My last Snap on 1/2dr cordless impact was $800.... that’s when I started buying Milwaukee.

Bought a Craftsman Air Compressor at Lowe’s. Looks exactly like the Porter Cable model I bought several years ago.

Yup.

I'm pretty committed to DeWalt. Yet, lots of my subs have been showing up with Milwaukee Fuel. They're stouter, longer lasting tools than my DeWalt.

Milwaukee Fuel is top of the line right now.
