Buddy of mine bought this a couple years ago and I've wanted it ever since. He decided to get rid of it so I swooped it up. 1985 Honda 250 Big Red. My dad had one when I was a kid and my brother and I shared a 90. Might have to find one of those for my kiddos.

I put a few miles on one just like it, but it had a spray tank on the back for spraying weeds and Johnson grass.

I know you’d be hard pressed to find one in as good of shape as that one.
Great score!

Wrecked one as a teen. Be careful. Very very dangerous.

I have a 1983 Big Red in my shop. Haven't run it in 20 years.

Looks clean and oddly enough I’ve been eyeballing them for awhile now

If they’re clean like that one they’re pretty pricey

I had a 70, straight off the showroom floor when I was 5

I think the end of the 3 wheelers was the beginning of liberal weenies taking over

Think about it, all I’m saying...

No reason to outlaw 3 wheelers or v8’s in jeeps other than weeners said so...

I don’t remember anybody ever having a bad crash on a big red.
Now the two stroke 250R was a child killing machine.

A distant relative met a barbed wire fence on one of those....the fence won! He did recover after a few days in the hospital.

I saw one of those riding away from me, with the front wheel straight up in the air, as I was quickly falling to the ground on my back.

Yes they can be used safely. The same can be said about dynamite. Suggestion here - don't take chances with either.

Great score, that one looks to be in great condition. Nice Big Reds are hard to find. Those and the 70's are worth some money and the values have shot up in the past couple of years. I've been on the lookout for a nice pair for a few months and haven't seen any Big Reds as nice as that one.

Nice! The Big Red has the reverse, right? I grew up on 3-wheelers and never got so much as a scratch. They just aren't designed for turning at any speed above a walk.
