The wife, when she bought all sorts of plants for the garden, bought a cow horn pepper plant. She just picked the first of the crop, and it does look like a cow horn. As she was showing it off, I asked if it was a hot pepper. She didn’t know, but before I could google it up. She bit off a bit of the end. Yo Baby...it was hot. She was barking, cussing, and hopping around for a time. Fun to watch, though I tried not to laugh, which might have been a real bad idea.
So...Cow Horn Pepper - hot.

There are different kinds of cows and their horns look different. So what kind of cow's horn is the pepper supposed to look like?

I used to grow cow horns but they were always mild. Mine too. Stuffed peppers, blackeyed peas, scratch cornbread, and chow - chow is what's for dinner tonight.

Hudbone, I didn’t think she’d chainsaw me over me laughing about the pepper. She has, however been very active with that little chainsaw. I need to hide that thing. She’s working me hard picking up chunks of what she has sawed up.

Equivalent to jalapenos which generally are too hot for me. Yes, I know, I'm a wuss when it comes to heat.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

I assure you that there is no pectin in this pepper. I only planted it because I felt obligated after my neighbor gave me 3 plants. Planning to add it to my marinated salad to add a little panache.
