Went out this morning to check a hog trap and caught this big guy wandering around the outside of the trap, trying to work up the courage to go on in and grab some corn. A 100 grain "Swine Smasher" out of the 25/45 Sharps put an end to his dilemma! Biggest hog I've seen around here in years! Probably close to 200 pounds and smelled to high heaven! Congrats. Sure like my 25-45 Sharps. Do you reload for your Sharps? If so, would you share your data with me? The Sharps Company won't allow the 100 grain bullet they use in the Swine Smasher to be sold to reloaders, and I continue to look for recipes that use 100 grain + bullets for my use in hog and deer harvesting.

The Sharps Company won't allow the 100 grain bullet they use in the Swine Smasher to be sold to reloaders, and I continue to look for recipes that use 100 grain + bullets for my use in hog and deer harvesting. I do reload and would be more than happy to share info but so far, I only load 70 grain SBK and 87 grain Hot Cor bullets. I mainly use mine as a coyote round with the 70s and have taken a couple of deer with the 87s. If info for either of these would help you, shoot me a PM and I'll gladly share.

Thanks, Bar-D, but I've got reloading data for the lighter rounds. I'm trying to duplicate the Swine Smasher and it's 100 grainer. I appreciate the offer, though.
