Looking at building a budget 556/223 AR-15 with a red dot. I was hoping to be able to pick up some good used components to keep the build at around $800 at the absolute most. I'd really appreciate any and all thoughts that y'all have. Thank you!

Built several rifles with components from Palmetto State Armory. Never had an issue and their customer service was good.
It's not what you say, or think, that counts. It is what you DO!

If you’re on reddit, the gunaccessoriesforsale group is a beautiful place. Always people selling used stuff.

It can be done if you do your homework. With current prices you can’t really build it any cheaper. I got done building one a month or so ago and I planned on going cheap 450-500ish. Blew most of that on the lower alone. May a few trades and ended up with a deal on an upper. Optics all in I went way over but I got what I wanted.

If you want a budget build. Just go to Palmetto State . I have built three of them. Happy with all three. Going to build a fourth.
