In 37 years of making multiple trips a year to San Antonio, Austin and San Marcos, I’ve never remember a time when some part of 35 wasn’t under construction. Will they ever finish, or will it be under construction into perpetuity? Rant over.

That’s exactly what I used to say about 35 around the Waco area. They never finish. Can’t get farm to market roads done but 35 always has it going on. Mini-rant over

Someone on here posted a picture of a Texas license plate: "Ih8IH35"
Is the stretch between Denton and Dallas finished? They started tearing it up when I graduated from college at UNT...in 1982.

I remember 35 being started when I was a boy, I'm a grown [censored] man and they're still not completed.

The same observation could be made for 59 and 45 all sides of Houston except they've been at it since the 60s.

I almost got killed on it in the mid 70's, near Georgetown, it's a good thing I was young and my reactions quick.

Just the little stretch through Waco has been going on I bet there are kids who hired on out of HS and are now retired drawing a pension and it still isn't finished.

Pretty much so. Once they removed the 3 lanes down to 2 constriction on the northbound side near Medpark it really sped things up. Then Buccee's exit construction finished. Now the problem is everyone gets through going north faster and they get all bunched up getting off 35 northbound at 380. Giant cluster there.

Y’all crack me up....in a good way, I needed a good laugh. They can’t build them big enough to suit the rate folks/businesses are moving to the great state.

Oh and Creek...that project was finished in the 80’s but there’s been 6 more started and completed since then rofl I think they are going to start another one next week or the week after nuts

If construction stopped, and the roads turned to chet....the same guys would complain about road conditions....... and ask the question, why dont they ever try to fix these roads.

There's been an old joke going around for years, goes like this............

"Hey old timer, I heard you're retiring, congratulations".

"Thanks, I'm looking forward to it."

"What sort of a job did you do all those years?"

"I worked on 35 South"

From FM 1103 all the way to 410 south - double decker baby. that's Cibolo (Northcliffe exit) well into S.A.. Can't wait to see this go over the very wide Cibolo Creek.
