Looks to be a crawdad in his mouth. We've got several ponds full of giant bullfrogs, about time to go harvest some for the fryer.

Awesome picture! Bullfrogs will try to eat anything, I've caught them on a buzzbait before. Back in the late 70's or early 80's I was fishing a little lake in town. Water was way down so I put the tube in the truck and started walking the bank and pitching a Beetle Spin. I could get back from the edge and come up on the frogs from behind, I had a few chase it up the bank. Called it quits after 6 frogs.

That bull frog has to be as a big as a softball! Few weeks back when we had the storms come through we had a softball size bullfrog jumping against the glass door to our bedroom around 2am that came up from the pond/creek. Either that, or it was catching bugs against the glass. Kept thinking someone was walking around the house and finally figured it our when I got up and looked.

My Brother and I (when we were kids) would go around the ponds on the Golf Course while our parents were out playing golf and catch Bullfrogs. We would take Cane Poles and put a piece of Red Felt on a small snelled hook. Then just dangle in front of them. WHAM....they'd hit it every time.
