Well that’s sad. I’d rather spend more for gas and know the O&G industry was running strong.

Since oils prices have been so low, and gas so cheap, what should we notice that proves the Texas economy is so dependent on O&G? What should we look for that proves low oil prices are such a bad thing?

Severance taxes to the state are way down.

Sales taxes and property taxes go up to offset the loss in severance taxes.

Property taxes and sales taxes will also take a hit.

I suppose bankrupt companies and thousands of workers unemployed won’t bother you any.

Then there’s the fact that the economy has taken a huge hit, and oil and gas is a big part of that, especially in Texas, but that’s not a problem either. As long as you save $400 a year on gas, it’s all good.

Don't remember the last time I filled up. It was when I topped. Off my tank after getting gas for my sower.

Yep, 1.55 is what they seem to have agreed on to charge everyone in my area as well.

I don’t remember what the original cost was but with the Kroger discount I had built up, I got it for .59 afterwards. I shared it with the boys that normally I’d be happy as heck, now knowing what I know, I’d rather pay $3.00/gal so everyone I know is safe

Do you have the list of O&G companies that went bankrupt?

What are those companies? Can you list them? Thousands of workers? Who might they be? Do you know or can list any? Thousands out of millions? Can you share the economy that has taken a big hit? What is a big hit? 400 dollars? I have saved that every month or more. So how is the 1200 I have put in other areas of the economy a bad thing? Please elaborate. Does my 1200 have to go to O&G to be valid? If I spend that 1200 at Tractor Supply or Atwood’s, is it less valuable than if I spend it at Walmart for gas? You may have noticed a negative, but most notice a positive. But I guess you desire it to be all about you?
