A query for any guitar players amongst us: I was just wondering who plays, what you play, what guitar(s),and how many guitars you have...whenever the world falls apart like lately, I sit around and wonder why why why I have so many and play so few (aka the syndrome)...I guess I should answer my own questions if I'm gonna ask anybody else...I mostly stick to rockabilly now days, Gibson ES390, Fender Telecaster, and 7 guitars all told...

I wish I could play

Serious question,

Why do so many players and it appears they are “ good” make terrible faces when they play ?

In my case it's because my face looks terrible at all times...

When my world fell apart about 20 years ago, hunting and my guitars got me through. I have a 2000 Martin SPDC-16 and a 1993 Fender Stratocaster American Standard. I bought both new and play everything from Alabama to Brad Paisley, to Metallica, to Pink Floyd and ZZ Top. If it has guitar in it, I'd like to play it.

I played when I was younger, but passed on my guitars to our son years ago.

Sorry my friend, I couldn’t carry a note in both hands if my life depended on it. That being said, both kids went to state in school with there band instruments. confused2

I grew up just six miles north of Turkey Scratch, Arkansas. Levon Helm lived there and was my friend. He played a guitar and his sister played base on a string attached to a washtub. Neither ever had a lesson. He stared as the father in Coal Miners Daughter. Don't take my word for it. Click here.

Larrivee, 3 Taylors, 2 Seagulls, Ibanez, 3 Big Muddy Mandolins. All acoustic/electric. One Austin Strat. Wife also has a custom fiddle. We play Americana/ country, not the new country crap. We cover several obscure songwriters and have some original song of our own. Bose L1 Model 1 Yamaha 12 channel mixer and custom microphones from Mutant Mics.

I have two Takamine, and Fender American Telecaster. Play around learning the Blues and old classic rock. Fingers are getting crooked and it's hard to do barre chords sometimes.....still fun!
