I've stepped on quite a few over the years. I usually jump about 8 feet in the air when the ground starts moving under me!!

Those were with G17 pistol. On one of them I ran out of ammo in my pistol and had to use my AR I had for hog hunting. This was before I had a suppressor it was very loud.

They like cicadas, you have to climb up the trees and get rid of them. Yes! Keeping grass short, no wood, etc doesnt work as this is the issue. Seems they lay larvae that come up from the ground. I've usually only seen babies come under the base of my trees but am not sure about climbing the tree to get rid of them. Maybe there is a spray that kills them.

Had a ton of copperheads over south of La Grange when I had the place. Cats will keep um at bay. Get you a few Neutered/Spayed Feral Kitty Cats. Feed them a few days to keep um close and let them work. Kill everything they see that moves.

I had a problem with snakes for a while until I got a pair of cats. I went through four pairs of kittens until I started putting them In The barn at night because the owls got them. I’ve only seen one snake in two years. You just have to decide what’s worse, having cats or snakes. I prefer cats. I don’t pet mine but they like to follow me around when I’m outside, they are tolerable and I like watching them stalk up on things.

Yeah , Cats slap there eyes out first and then go to town on what's left. Of course if you're a bird fan, they're toast also. Have a slew of them around here that we had fixed and nothing is safe. Max, my Pitbull Cross, lays low when I let Him outside. Of course He's scared of everything. Big Puss.

Put a white rope around the areas you don’t want them.

I’ve killed my 6th copperhead in the last month today curled up against the slab of my house. What works to deter them? Try a couple minnow traps up against the slab

We've had so many labs bit about the face and come to the house looking like jerry nadler we'd doctor them with benadryl and go back about our business...if I'd have ever had one of my kids bit, it would've been on like donkey kong between me & perp and clan...

It is their mating season right now, they are everywhere, we always see a lot of them this time of year around here. I had an industrial size Copperhead stretched out sunning on the concrete approach to my shop last week. I went to get the shovel, and in 20 seconds he had disappeared. This week there was a rattlesnake coiled up convalescing in the back yard, and another snake having a stroll around our porch. My wife sent me these pics of them, I was in Oklahoma. NOPE!!

I killed a copperhead back in February at the edge of our patio. We've lived here almost 40 years and that was the first copperhead I've ever seen here. I hope it was the last too.

We also have a couple of outdoor cats. They keep us mostly snake free. I would rather trip over a cat in the morning than a copperhead.

Cats kill birds as well, a lot them. In almost 20 years my dogs have never been bitten. They smell them and bark at them and then I come and do my part. Once I took too long and my dog killed 2 adults.
I'll take a Black Female every time.
