High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I want a P1000. Some of the Youtube videos showing the zoom are incredible.
I'm sure you have a tripod, but are you using one of the remote shutter releases?

I'm sure you have a tripod, but are you using one of the remote shutter releases? Those shoots were handheld and manual. This is one of the reasons I chose the Nikon, quick to start up, fast on the picture and has an image stabilizer, I don't have time for tripods.

That's amazing. I finally figured out how to post pics on here and posted my first last night. When I saw this thread I remembered my p1000 pics and was about to post the pic I took at one mile. Then I read you HAND HELD those and decided I would wait till I get better before I post.  Even with a solid tripod and remote shutter mine still are crap quality but the magnification is unbelievable. Im sure im doing lots of other stuff wrong(im a novice at best.) Once again those are great and thanks as always for posting.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR
