^^^^

Absolutely.

Now if we were talking 'spiders' I'd be taking a different position. Hate those things...all of them.

Found on Texas snake website :

Coachwhips mate in the spring, and females deposit clutches averaging 10 eggs in June and early July. The young hatch in 6 to 10 weeks, measuring 28-40.5 cm (11-16 in), and looking different than the adults. The juvenile pattern is an overall tan coloration with small brown crossbars down the length of the body. The belly is also pigmented with a double row of black spots, a belly pattern similar to the adult M. f. testaceus.

Maybe young un. tan crossbars

From Wikipedia.

Quote
Adult brown recluse spiders often live about one to two years. Each female produces several egg sacs over a period of two to three months, from May to July, with approximately fifty eggs in each sac. The eggs hatch in about one month. The spiderlings take about one year to grow to adulthood. The brown recluse spider is resilient and can tolerate up to six months of extreme drought and scarcity or absence of food. On one occasion, a brown recluse survived in controlled captivity for over five seasons without any food at all

Coach Whip

Absolutely they do have altering coloring and patterning. I have a bunch of them on my place and they are gopher huntin' sonsaguns!!!

They can very from a very light tan to light brown or even a gray. I've even seen one who's banding pattern actually looked a little yellowish. Sometimes they are completely without a pattern and just a solid color and sometimes have it.

Damn good snakes but a tad aggressive if you step over the boundary with em. I had a couple that called one of my barns home for a year or two and when I'd go buzzing by on the zero turn mower they would elevate there heads off the ground about a foot and just lay there and watch me mow. Crazy as hell.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!
