I cannot definitely tell how old it is, my Dad bought it with money I saved up in the mid 80’s at a gun show. It is a 243 and I have primarily hunted with it since, I shot my first deer with it as well as my wife and kids. I would love to know how old it actually is. Sorry if it’s a stupid question but I cannot seem to find the answer.

I am a huge fan of the 99, especially the 300 Savage and 250-3000. I know quite a few folks at Savage, if you need help with the rifle as I worked with them to design the Model 10 Predator Hunter. After Ron Coburn, a dear friend of mine sold the company, I moved over to Ruger.

243 Winchester was born 1955. Based on that the oldest it could be is 65 yrs.
No round counter so later model.
Can't see the barrel, assuming it is original to the gun.
