Are there any outfits around that make deer blinds that a 70 year old Veteran with one leg can drive his ATV right up into? Have you heard of such a thing or seen one?

The easiest I can think of is a Double size popup next to a tree or brush pile and just park behind it with the wind blowing toward you & at least 100 yards away from target area.

Have set in a bright red Can-AM commander beside a cedar Tree and shot deer and pigs looking up a gas line cut with wind in my face @ 100plus yards - this was when I had double knee surgery last year and walking anywhere was out of the question at this time.

Try these guys in Terrell. They do all kinds of outdoor activity for disabled including a lot of hunting & fishing. I am sure they can put you intouch with someone who can help you out.

The season I was in a wheelchair, my son got a moving crate,, about 4wx7lx7h, put in windows and a door. I drove my scooterto the blind, up the ramp inside, It was a tight fit to turn around but was doable. I don't think a atv will work, but a large ground blind should.

My legs don't work well anymore so I'm learning to hog hunt from the ATV. I don't deer hunt. That said, attempts to shoot from a blind off an ATV will be extremely tricky with very limited 'shooting' lanes. I have to sit sideways to get reasonable (270) field of view and a shooting stick to support the rifle. I have a 2 man ground popup blind that would allow easy access with a 'walker' to get you to a seat. Actually I'd like to find a smallish trailer to mount the pop-up so I can set up anyplace on the property. I could tow it with the ATV, go sit in the stand on the trailer.

Several years ago I was on a new property and didn't have a blind set up, so got some camo netting and strung it between two trees overlooking a feeder. I rolled my 4 wheeler in behind it and shot thru slits I cut in netting. It wasn't ideal, but I got a doe from it.

I have limited mobility due to both arthritis in legs and back plus post polio syndrome. And, I’m 80 yoa. Using a walking stick due to balance issues. Not really handicapped but am getting there. I still walk a mile a day to keep some mobility but that’s not going to last long. Not much leg strength left.

I have several options. I have several blind set ups that I can take a 4 wheeler to. Then, use either cane or crutch and get to either a blind or a chair in the brush. I built some crossed sticks to shoot off of. If it shoot a deer I take the 4 wheeler to the house and get my tractor with a front end loader to bring the deer back. Then hoist the deer with the loader. 90% of the time, one of the grandsons are there to hunt and take over gutting and breaking everything down. Then use the loader bucket to go dump the remains.

They keep telling me that I need to take it easy. BS, I don’t have time to take it easy.

Last time out I missed a small hog @ 100 by about an inch. Sitting on ATV using promos trigger stick on the foot plate of the ATV. Yup, past 80 and stuff doesn't work well anymore. Need to figure a loop to make sure the rifle doesn't get dropped from the stick but it does work OK.

Check out the Ghost Blind. It's very portable (folds up), conceals extremely well, and doesn't involve climbing up or into anything.

what about a storage shed and just cutting a shooting window in the backside?
