For those of you who have actually tried them, which electric smoker would you prefer: a "chip fed" or a "pellet fed?" I've gotten too old to smoke 'em the way I used to and am looking to see how I can get out of the old fashioned way (which I did for 50 years!) and get into something a little more civilized that will give me something close to the old way but not demand the time and attention I used to enjoy investing!

If you want set it and forget it, come back X number of hours later, go with pellet fed.

I use one of the Pit Boss Pellet Smokers and love it.

I set my temp and only come back to wrap, spritz, or spread sauce. Everything I’ve made has come out great.
