...I did my job stimulating the economy! Not sure how much I will use it, but have enough around here going on to keep me busy with it for a while. Couldn't justify going bigger with only 1.5 acres, just hope I don't run out of tractor. Anyone with any of the compacts have any tips?

Congratulations. My tip is to be thankful and enjoy the ride.

Enjoy the ride, but as with any new toy, remember what you tear up you have to fix.

Very nice. I went tractor shopping yesterday.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

I bought a new Kubota L3901 about 4 years ago and could not justify it either, but I still have it with on 60 hours on it. It comes in handy whenever I do need it though. Try finding some pallet forks that will work for that size tractor. Mine are really handy. Enjoy it, its pretty!!

Do you have a trailer for it also?? In the next few weeks.. I may be able to afford some serious dirt work in my backyard... Filling and leveling followed by sod. 9000 Sg ft Covid notwithstanding lol

Thanks, it has been fun so far, like a kid playing in the sand box. I've already burnt a tank of diesel.
Looking at pallet forks already, will be the next thing I buy. Enclosed cab is over $4000, would be nice but just can't justify that.

Dang you Chopped. This thread caused me to go out and mow on my cheap Sears mower. Then it started sprinkling. I didn't want to leave streaks so I kept mowing, then it started pouring and now I'm soaked.

Seems like it rains down here all the time, but today it didn’t want to let up.

Nice - we downsized to less than 2 acres but your post gave me an idea of just renting one for a day or so when needed.

What Sailor said about raising the bucket, keep that weight in the back, use 4x4 if moving more than couple hundred pounds in the bucket, and most of all wear that seat belt every time you use that fel .

Nice set up you have there. We bought a new tractor to replace our old 1978 Ford. My wife din't want a front end loader on this one but I did and the dealer helped talk her into it. We had used the loader way more than she thought we would. On the JD the bucket drops off really easy. Just watch raising the bucket on a side hill and as others have said keep your box blade on the back for weight. ENJOY it.
