x2 I think that the Nubian is the second best looking Ibex after the Alpine Ibex.
for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

I raise Nubian Ibex and know how hard it is to get one to that size. An amazing animal.

I raise Nubian Ibex and know how hard it is to get one to that size. An amazing animal. Are they a tough hunt? Yes. They are very smart, they have very good eyesight. They are very good at detecting movement. They are very agile. They are very fast. I have been raising them for a long time. They know me and most of the time especially when I feed them I can get very close. But if my wife or someone they do not know is there they will take off. If they see me out in the pasture not at feeding time they will take off. If I catch one to sell they get very wild. My catch pen was 8 ft. high. I had them jump out of it so I added 3 ft. to it and now it is 11 ft. They still try but so far have not made over it. The larger males I have to dart as they are to much to handle strength and size wise. I usually try to sell my males when they are 3 to 4 years old. At that time they are usually 30 to 35 inches. The first year they usually grow around 10 inches of horn. The next around 9 inches and so on usually loosing an inch of horn growth each year. And that growth is with good feed. So that Ibex is probably at lease 7 years old. And surviving that long without something happening to him means he was very smart.

I recall some of your past posts about how ornery they can get. I imagine much more so when they are hungry or horny.
