I applaud your thoughts ntxtrapper, but if you get a check, consider the money already spent. The small amount of money they send to you would be such a small amount that cashing it for something good wouldn’t make a mountain out of the crap hole we are already in.

Consider this a challenge to find something better to do with the check, if it shows up, than just shredding it. There’s so many good thing so that could come from it, and no one would even need to know.

In “principle” where in hell fire you think that money came from? The FED never gave you or me anything. Every year for the last 48 years I have funded this government and the FED is going to send me $1200......they got from me. I have lived overseas and I will never complain about funding this government. It’s an eye opening experience. The check I am getting back is MY money. Just like clock work I will send the Fed THEIR stimulus every two weeks. Oh wait a minute, they take it in advance.

I have the same feelings about accepting money from the government, especially since we have not been effected. So we are going to turn around and send that money plus some from our account to our local food banks and Meals on Wheels. Just a thought.

Thee will be a lot of people that have paid a lot less than the $1200 every year and they will still get the $1200. That is part of yours .mine and a lot of other taxpayers money that we paid in past years.

We, as a family, worked hard enough and saved for 4 decades for the bleeding years.
We went through 2008-2009, lost 67%, saw 3 friends committed suicide who lost everything.
We didn't overspend, we didn't buy toys left and right. We tried to save 18 to 25% of our yearly income, some years less, some year more and kept on re investing half of that.

We don't need a stinking bail out gubernment check cause nobody really saved.
Now, for all your business owners with employees, its a very different story.
