I have had a crazy idea for a few months of getting a 10 gauge shotgun preferably a single shot but would consider a double barrel and I’m going to do a short barrel 10 gauge. Yes I am doing it legally I will fill out a form one and add it to my trust. Now comes the hard part no one makes 10 gauge anymore, and hard to find anywhere. What are some sights to check out or any tips on finding guns that are no longer made? I check gunbroken often but most of them have broken or badly cracked stocks or want a couple thousand.

Look on the iCollector or ProxiBid auctions. Make sure that you pay attention to the buyer’s premiums.

I would go with a 12ga for the ease of finding one and later buying ammo for it. Rarely see 10ga ammo on the local market.

I recommend purchasing a mouth guard at the same time. You’re gonna need it. I’ve shot a few 10 gauges in the past, pumps and semi-auto. No desire to shoot a lightweight 10ga.
