Im in Upshur County, just south of the Morris/Upshur line. Pretty decent amount of deer here.

I have hunted near the town of Rocky Branch (in Morris CO) for the past four seasons. The ranch is about 400 acres, and is a mixture of pine trees, brush, and grazing land. It is really better hog/squirrel hunting, than deer hunting. Two seasons ago I did not even see a deer. Last season, I shot one doe, and two spike bucks (and a hog). There can be good hunting, but based on the number of deer I see, both in person, and on game cameras, it is a low density deer area. Plenty of hogs and varmints.

How old were the spikes?

Both appeared to be yearlings. Both had a small, curled spike on one side, and 2-3 points on the other side. Cull deer. I think they were related to each other. I saw them together, and made a double harvest.
