Put an alg trigger in mine and I don’t think it was worth it. Regular mil spec compared to this is just about as good. Need a good value drop in. May try jp spring kit and see what it does but this is very disappointing. Gun shop talked it up so figured $70 was a decent deal. They got me this time. So many triggers out there now that I don’t know what’s good or worth it anymore. I’d love to find something under 150 which has led me towards cmc but I need some better info before I go wasting more money again.

I’ve had one cmc trigger, and I really really liked it. I don’t have experience with other AR triggers though.

You're on the right path with the JP trigger spring kit. I bet you stop there.

CMC is a very good next option, but I bet you won't need it. I put a CMC in a rifle for it friend, and it is very good.

I have a Timney and it is quite nice.

I have a cmc and hiperfire. Both are great, the cmc is better and definitely easier to install. I had to get help with my hiperfire. I also have a jp spring kit and it is a very good option and by far the best value.

I hear Larue currently makes the best value trigger. But it's just rumor to me since I've never tried.

Timney is my choice. They are pricey but really nice. Night and day better than std. trigger. Easy to install too. I do have a cmc in its package. Will install some day...

The JP spring kit is a cheap bandaid. They even say it’s not to be relied on in a duty weapon. A cheap spring isn’t something you want to fail on a hunt.

RRA NM
CMC
Geissele
Hyperfire
AR gold

Plenty of good ones out there, especially if you shop sales.

JP springs will lighten the pull but it’s still gonna be creepy as hell.

Use my RRA .223 and SWMP15 300BO to hunt with. TImney 3lb is fantastic.

I have:
RRA Varmint
POF
Rise Armament
BCM PNT
LaRue MBT 2S

All are good, all are different... all except POF were less than $100

Good luck.

I have used Velocity 3.5lb curved, JMT Saber 3.5-4lbcurved, CMC 3-3.5lb flat and the CMC 2.5lb flat. Price wise the JMT Saber is $99.95 and is a well made drop-in trigger with zero creep. The Velocity can be found for $135.00 sometimes, it is a drop-in and the 2 I have all read 3lbs 12.3 to12.4oz on the trigger pull gauge. The CMC 3-3.5lb, flat, i have 5 of them and they all are closer to 3lbs then 3.5lbs on the trigger pull gauge, drop-in with anti walk pins. The CMC 2.5lb, flat is what I am currently buying when I am swapping triggers, mainly because I like the lighter trigger. All the CMC’s I have used are zero creep and include the antii-walk pins. I found I like the flat CMC triggers with the little shelf as they allow me to position my finger in the same spot every time on the trigger which helps improve accuracy.

Geissele SSA
Geissele S3G
LaRue MBT 2S

For bench shooting, which I do very little, I prefer the SSA. The S3G is excellent and very fast, but I wouldn't want it on a defensive rifle. The MBT 2S is kind of the sweet spot for me. They are very affordable, consistent, and reliable.
