Is even tough on us lowly knife makers. Can't say I'm surprised, but a guy can't hardly give one away right now and the orders have dwindled down to near nothing. I'm glad I don't have to depend on my knives for a living! For now I'll keep making them, times will get better.

I hear you bro, I'm still managing to sell a few here and there, my custom orders are starting to dwindle down. Now with this virus thing going around, we're tithing more because our church is helping some many people and they need the resources. We'll all laugh at this one day; if we're still here. confused2

Ya'll stay safe and stay HOME. We're having groceries delivered, I have the mail service pick up my knife sales to keep us out of the post office. Anything else we need I order it on line. I know Mike and I are in the high risk category.

The callmakers are seeing the same issues. My advice is to work on spec's make knives that you know will eventually sell, an inventory will come into play as the economy picks up.

Another is make a specialty, the weird stuff seems to catch the eye and gets an occasional sale. Sometimes the goofy stuff is the answer.

Yes Bob, The last knife that I sold here 100% of the funds went to help the elderly. Our church has a lot of folks that can use some help.

Same, been making kitchen knives and some cheaper stuff. Also been preparing for better days ahead, forging a lot of Damascus bar stock so that I'll have it when it gets warm this summer. Also working on a big project knife in between.

People ask me a lot if I make knives full time, or if I want to quit my day job and make knives. This kind of event is the reason why I don't.

Y'all hang in there.
