If the Vx-6 has the fire dot I’d go that route in a heartbeat. With illumination turned on hi it’s a very effective red dot and it can be turned down as needed.

I'd go cheap because you are an urbanite. Your truck gun is different than a country boy that may use his on the ranch. Yours has a much higher chance of getting stolen.
Yours is for armed conflict not dusting a coyote at 200 yards.

Buzz, on my AR pistol in 300 blk out, I run this Vortex 1x prism. If you sight it in dead on at 50 yards, it's a touch high at 100, dead on again at 200 yards. I can wear anything out inside of 200 yards. I like the 1x as a battle optic. If you want the versatility of higher mag, the 1x-6x is fine. I have a 1-8 on another rifle and I used to run a Burris 1-4 on my competition AR in 223. They all work well, and the scope choice depends on the use. But I prefer the 1x for a shorty for quick target acquisition. https://vortexoptics.com/catalog/product/view/id/1716

You're welcome to try mine. JG, is that what you use on your AR pistol? Is it just a single dot or does it have subtensions for range?
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

Yes
Single dot, zeroed at 50 yards. Also on at 200 yards, and have ran it out to 400 yards. Fiber optic in the day, tritium at night, no battery.
