Buddy of mine hunts 150 acres out there. Some nice bucks, some pigs, occasional turkey. The bucks coming through his place tend to go nocturnal once the bullets start flying...

Southern part of Clay county abutting Jack & Montague county is pretty country with good deer.

What part of Clay exactly and size? Buddy's on 10K there. Hunted it a few times. My place is just east of there and completely different hunting.

Depends on acreage and neighbors then. Looks like a bunch of cut up places. So high pressure possibly. My experience is east and NE of Henrietta along the river. Some incredible hunting there if you can afford it...

That is right about where it goes from wooded and hilly to flat and open. You should have good deer as long as they have cover where you are at.

I hunt just east of Henrietta on my neighbors place (made their son a knife and they let me hunt about 400acres since none of them hunt). I'm more of a meat hunter, so we have lots of deer, but not any real big ones where I'm at (or at least that I've seen). My brother in law has a place there around Shannon and him and his kids always shoot their freezer full. Guess it depends on what you're looking for! Most of the bigger deer I've seen coming out of this area has all been up north of henrietta by the little Wichita river and the Red river.
