anybody that has any sense knows it's a prank. Texas parks and wildlife doesn't own any lakes in Texas if they do it is very few they are all controlled by different authorities sabine river authority Trinity River authority corpse of engineers Brazos River authority etc etc etc.

I shared that post without reading it bc I trusted the person I shared it from. I didn’t know it was a prank.

everything that has anything to do with federal is shut down corps of engineers Is run by the feds when the federal government says non-essential employees are out then they close up everything that those non-essential employees maintain.

Park service offices are closed and have been for 2-3 weeks. I know the owners of Amistad marine ( ranger dealer) and the Val Verde county judge ordered the ramps closed. No tournaments allowed as Park service has to issue permits for that and shut that down 3 weeks ago. I'm sure the county will still want the taxes along with school taxes paid. But for a couple of people that can't go fishing is horse apples.

Those times the federal budget did not get extended, all the corps lakes shut down then too. My guess on Amistad is that with so many people not working, they don't want a large number of people from urban areas to travel there for vacation, fishing, etc. The local medical facilities would not be able to handle it if the virus was brought there and spread into the local population. Some people are probably bugging out to places like that to get away from the highly impacted areas.

This won't be a prank for long though. Cedar Hill SP is closed due a worker testing positive.

Probably the drug cartels,an empty lake makes them stick out like a flare at midnight.
