I decided to dust off my Dillon and load some pistol ammo.

When I was shooting a lot, I used .40 more often than other calibers.

I have a supply of powder, primers, and bullets. I thought I had a supply of brass. But I have a ton of .40 and .45 brass but I can't find any 9mm.

I got sticker shock when I attempted to buy some brass.

Where do you find brass? Is $.15-.20 per the going rate?

Thanks!

Range pickup is all I use. I wouldn’t pay more than 3 to 4 cents apiece for brass. You probably waited two weeks too long to buy brass, but 9mm is everywhere and should be almost free.

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

Tell me about it. I thought I had a 5 gallon bucket full of 9mm already polished. It turns out it is .45.

I hate to be the guy to say “order it cause you might not be able to to tomorrow,” but order it.

This latest run on ammo is completely stupid, but we’re in it nonetheless.

When I bought my 9mm I bought dies bullets etc. to load for it like all my other guns. In honesty I find it hard enough to pick my own brass up where I shoot that I doubt I will load for it a lot.

There is no logic in the run on guns and ammo. And for that matter, toilet paper!!!

With the "shelter in place" order in Dallas, I decided to clean out my garage and finally gained access to my reloading equipment. That encouraged me to load up what components I have before selling the Dillon. I have 1500 9mm bullets and over 5000 .40 from my more active shooting days. I carry a 9, so I wanted more practice rounds. .45 is the caliber I shoot least. I'll probably clean and polish that brass and offer it for trade.
