My family LOVES Cajun food. Anyone that lives in the metromess knows, Cajun food mostly sucks here. 90-95% of all "Cajun" food places in the D/FW area are Asian and have this garlicky red dredge they drag everything thru...there's nothing Cajun about them.

We stopped in Robinson at Tejun The Texas Cajun on our way down to the mother in laws Xmas, then again on the way back. Damn....just Damn...I wish I could replace every Asian Cajun restaurant in D/FW with a Tejun the Texas Cajun. The food was out of this world. Between us on the two trips I think we had fried catfish, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob, and more. I wish they were here so I could try everything. Next time I'm going to try the lobster and blue crab. Everything we had there was great, seasoned well. Some of the best Fried Shrimp we've had in a long time.

Say no to Asian Cajun and Yes to Tejun Cajun! smile

Earl

They used to set up the trailer in Brookshire's parking lot every other Thursday. People would bring chairs and tailgate. I always save my peel and eat shrimp tails and shells to feed the catfish! Some of the best fried catfish I've ever had.

The only "bad" thing about them, if you can call it that is when you walk in their menu and menu selections are MASSIVE. It's like ok, I need half an hour here to read this... smile

LOL!! Yes, it is huge. I have a picture of it on my phone so I I can figure out what I want before I go. Just have to check their "specials" board.

We've eaten at Buzzard Billies several times over the years. Trust me, you'll be happy you tried Tejun on your next trip. Earl

Drove by the restaurant on the way home from town about 6:00 yesterday. The drive through line was around the parking lot and overflowing out onto the highway! I guess table seating was still available 'cause the parking lot was also packed. Good to see a local business doing so well these days.

OH hell I forgot about their drive thru...no fair, I live in Plano and I can't get no lobster and crab thru a drive thru. And if I did it would probably come with fortune cookies.
