It's hard work, but I have heard that social distancing is important. Just doing my part for the cause. It takes 45 seconds to drop my boat into the water, so I often get out between storm cells by watching the radar. My pontoon boat is an old, heavy 25' with a little 115 hp 4-stroke outboard so it's not about speed - it's attitude correction. Wide-open it drinks 10 gallons per hour at 25 mph. At half throttle, I get 15 mph at 2.5 gallons per hour. Guess who cruises at 10-15 mph Even a quick 10-15 mile loop with a couple of cold ones can result in a great attitude improvement.

That is a GOOOD attitude improvement!!! Hey Marc is that up by Log Cabin? Yep. In the second picture, that is the 198 bridge from the Star Harbor side. I live about 2.5 miles past the bridge - out past Log Cabin. My neighborhood is the last group of homes on the peninsula.

It's very quiet at this end - as long as you get well past Log Cabin. This section is called Dixie Isle because it is technically an island.

Marc im trying to think where Dixie Isle is, I just cant remember it right now. It's a small neighborhood, one road in/out. - easy to miss. Like I said, out past Caney City and Log Cabin at the mouth of Caney Creek. Our address is Eustace, TX. Lower right corner of this map:
