Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Check out the Boykin too. Badazz little flushers and retrievers
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Field bred cocker or similar small dog. Anybody know of pups? Cline Strickland in Weatherford breeds cockers. I wouldn’t buy a trained dog from him but a buddy got a couple of cocker pups from him that are nice. He has at least 100 bird dogs ready to go at all times. I’d watch the parents work though before you buy. It’s close to home for you. Look him up.

Clayton Taylor with Muddypaws out of Anderson, TX has some really nice field bred cocker's available. Think he just had another litter too.

I had an English setter and have hunted behind several others. High strung. If you're looking for a pet as well, I've had Brittany Spaniels that would fit that description. Mine were both pretty small dogs but equal parts good hunter and family dog. Everybody has an opinion and mine is worth what you're paying for it.
