Buc-ee's in Madisonville aint no indicator either. Packed - I had to wait 10 minutes for a toilet. They're gonna need a bigger store. No kidding! I went by there yesterday afternoon on the way to the gun club. Cars were lined up a quarter of a mile down the service road waiting to get Buckified!!!

Pretty drastic measures in Italy. It seemed to make an impact in China. Yes pretty drastic measures for sure. And you have to wonder: 1) Is it helping? I mean intuitively we know it does, but how much of a factor is it? What would have happened if these drastic measures were not taken? If everyone simply practiced good hygiene, would this make a bigger impact? I think it would. 2) Are these drastic measure worth the cost? Shutting down the world and the cost of sending the world into a recession, is it worth it? Are we worse off?

I read somewhere that the Chines quarantine was drastic but may be having an impact.

Facing rising deaths from the coronavirus, and an increasingly anxious public, a beleaguered Italy has taken the unprecedented step of placing the entire country under quarantine, a sweeping gamble for a Western democracy that is confronting one of its most severe crises since World War II.
In a startling announcement on Monday, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said that all 60 million Italians would face limitations on movement beginning Tuesday..........
The measure extends the quarantine zone set up Sunday covering 16 million Italians living in the Lombardy region and 14 neighboring provinces in northern Italy, where the virus began its spread in February. I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Still too early to be sure but it looks like restricting movement or quarantining had a positive impact on flattening the curve. I am not sure what would have happened without taking these measures.
