My mom brought out my old John Deere pedal tractor this week. They bought it from me in the late 80s. It's cast metal.

Has anyone ever worked on one of these? Got any leads for parts or parts diagrams? It's stamped ERTL Stock #520.

Something is stripped in the rear as the rear axle spins freely if theres any load on the wheels. Ideally, I'd like to get it mechanically functional then see about repainting it. I'll never sell it, but I'd like for my kids to be able to play with it.

Here’s my daughter sitting on it this afternoon.

I have mine, got it for Christmas in 1953, a Poppin John model.

we have one we bought for our son back in the mid-late 80s ... probably need to refurb it at some point for the grandkids.

We have one we bought for our son in Christmas 1969 and we also bought the trailer. It is still in nice condition.
Our son was killed in accident in 1986. My wife and I will keep it until we are gone and we do not know what will to it later.

Beautiful daughter.

Can you get it apart and see the guts? Maybe something needs to be welded, maybe something needs to be fabricated for it, if the parts don't exist. I am happy to help any way I can.

Great photo! up

I think I can. If the bolts aren’t rusted solid. I haven’t had time to mess with it yet. I certainly appreciate the offer to help!
