Going to hunt my buddy’s uncles place this year that has a good population of turkey. When is best to hunt them in the spring? Near end of April? Whenever you can! The stages of the breeding season vary every year with the weather and other factors, so its hard to predict with the toms will be active but not so focused on hens they are with that they won't call in well, as least in the morning. If you had to pick a time to hedge your bets, the middle of the season. Hunting later in the morning or after 3 pm is very often a good way to get on toms that are ready to come in looking for another romantic rendezvous. Great luck to ya!
We are all in this together.

Past few years the whole season has been good. I have actually done good in May on final weekend a few years. Just never know.

I like the late season...that old Patriarch that had hens with him early season may be all alone.
" I don't hunt turkeys because I want to, I hunt turkeys because I have to."
