He operates out of Zale Lipshy Pavilion – William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital is part of William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital in the Southwestern Medical District in Dallas. Seems it's a teaching hospital for UofT. No date set yet. Still to meet with Ear Nose and Throat doc and Endocrinologist.

We are grateful for a doctor being candid and letting us know there is a better place for the surgery and a better doc to do it. Thanks for the prayers and the messages. If any of ya'll have first hand experience with the facility I'd appreciate any feedback.

We've been going there for the last 20 years. My wife has an inner ear disease that isn't terminal but that there is no actual cure for. She's had most every test there is and has had one surgical procedure at the Zale Lipshy Pavilion. Every doctor that we've seen there over the years are at the top of their profession. People come from all over the world to seek treatment there. In my opinion your wife is in the best hands that she can possibly be in there.
Prayers continue from our house!

Good to hear Mike C. And hey, I'm about to drop a tranny in your truck. We're one step closer to getting it running. Thanks for the recommendation on the hospital. The wife is going to like the connection.

And, sincerest thanks for all of the prayers and messages. Sometimes being the so-called "Man" isn't as easy as John Wayne made it look.

They have expedited the surgery. Tomorrow at 12:30 is the first opportunity to get the team of surgeons to match schedules. One of her docs is the Department Chair. Teri's faith has her calm as can be. Admittedly, I'm struggling greatly. We are discussing living will and medical power of attorney. She wants to leave any decisions in my hands. I tear up each time I contemplate being faced with that decision. I've spent almost 38 years in the mindset of protecting her with my life, not the possibility of ever being the final say of ending hers. We sign the final paperwork in the morning and of course I'll see my part through as she wishes. However, the thought just about does me in.

So boys, if you dont mind, bend a knee and ask the Almighty to be with Teri and the medical staff tomorrow. And, if it's not too much trouble, ask that he give me the strength to be the husband she deserves.

Prayers up for both of you. She's in good hands and I believe that she will receive Gods healing as he uses the surgeons as his instruments of healing.

Prayers for you both.

What an honor that she chose you. She has total faith and belief to literally put her life in your hands.
Embrace that gift and know you have something many do not.

Prayers for you and your Wife. Teared up reading about the " living will". I'm sure things are going to be OK. Peace be with you, friend.

I have been thinking about y’all and saying prayers and will keep doing so.

On the end of life decision don’t think of it as taking her life you would be freeing her from a life that she wouldn’t want to live. She placed this responsibility with you because there is no one else she trust as much and that knows her as well and what she would want. It’s a hard decision to have to make if you have to, I have been there and you will know what needs to be done. I’m sure everything will be ok. I enjoyed meeting y’all and fishing with y’all a couple years back.

I have one on my pituitary gland also. Is also near the optic nerve. Benign as far as they can tell. I have an MRI once a year to check for growth, and any change in eyesight I report. I'm guessing I've had it since birth but they didn't find until 57 years later. If they feel the need to remove it, they go through nose.
