Been playing around with double and triple dying with my Cactus Juice I use to stabilize my woods. Two model 104 and a 121 and a 118. Spalted pecan, on high carbon steel.

What does spalted mean and what is stabilizing the wood and what does that do to it? I’ve only ever heard those terms here in this forum.
