Have you gotten your hands on one? For comparability issues within my family, it would be advantageous to have a G19 compatible pistol. Glocks never pointed well for me because of the grip angle. I've had a couple of G19s and a G26, but I always felt like I was fighting to get a comfortable sight picture. The MR918 has replaceable backstraps that actually change the grip angle.

Anyway, I'm really curious about them, but no LGS in my area carries them.

Nope. But instead of spending $1000 on a “enhanced” g19, I’d spend about 30 minutes dry firing and learning the index of a g19

30 minutes isn’t going to fix a pointing issue. I’m in the same boat as the OP, spent 3 days and over 1,000 rounds trying to become comfortable with point and shoot with the Glock, every single time that I didn’t come to sights, I shot low. Obviously, when I came to sights, I shot fine. I just don’t like the way a Glock feels. That’s why we have choices

I’m pretty sure they are a modified Polymer80 frame that is made specifically for Shadow Systems. I have a Polymer 80 G19 I built and I like it. Can’t say I like anymore than a regular Glock though.

Some folks are hard to change I guess.

I can go from a Glock to a 1911 to a XDM to a Sig to a CZ and back to a Glock with no problems. Just gotta know the gun.

I can shoot all of them, but natural point and shoot without using sights and making acceptable shots is a different story

So what do you do when no LGS has the gun you want, but it is on sale at Bass Pro and Cabela's? I guess you decide to go visit your son seven hours away in Dallas and stop by the Cabela's in Waco, of course. I spent less than a minute inspecting the pistol before having the clerk start the 4473.

I will follow up with range reports. I will say that it feels great and the fit and finish are top notch.

Hope you enjoy it!

Range report.

500+ rounds of Winchester white box, 124gr handloads, and a few mags of JHP without a hiccup. I'v never fired a pistol I could get back on target this quickly.

I'll put is simply, I sold four pistols last night and ordered a second MR918. This time the Elite with FDE frame.

As for Polymer80 frames, these are not. They are produced in-house.

I believe the war poet pistol is built on the MR918. Ive been eyeballing that. He’s got a fantastic YouTube channel too.

I guess I should follow up. My combat has a bit over 1k rounds and the Elite is right at 500. For the past several weeks I have been carrying the Elite with the HE507C-GR and Inforce APLc in a Vedder Light Tuck. To say that I absolutely love these pistols is an understatement. I stopped during my lunch break to pick up my new MR918L Elite from my FFL about an hour ago. It is basically the same as the others, but with a long slide. I have a couple more Sigs to sell, then my only pistol that is not a Shadow Systems MR918 will be my handy P365. Now to find an OWB holster that will fit the long slide with a Holosun and Olight Mini 2.

I strongly considered one, but for the money felt I got more value out of the fn 509 midsize. Superior Optics cut, light rail, good trigger, and I paid $500 to my door basically. They do seem like a fantastic gun, and if I had been married to a glock, no question I would gone with the MR918.

Glad to hear how much you like them. I have come really close to ordering one a few times now, but was waiting for some more real world feedback
