Looking to do some public land shotgun hunting for pigs with my sons. On a budget. I've hunting from a pop up a hand full of times for varmints. Seems like those blinds sucked pretty bad.
HME Hub Ground Blind is 75x75" - $112 (too high) Guide Gear Deluxe is 60x60" - $45 Ameristep Doghouse is 60x60" - $70
The other option is to hunt from a throw down.
Thoughts?

I have an old Ameristep Ground Blind I have used since 2012 now. I paid around $80 for it back then. It has two smaller windows and one larger window per side except on the door side it has just one large window. Came with camo screen and then solid window covers. Hub style blind.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

I have to buy new ones every couple of years.

My opinion, ditch the blind. Find a brush pile or a big tree to lean against. I've been busted too many times in a pop up. A natural blind works better.

You might want to look at Barronett Blinds. They are a heavier built pop-up but you will get several years use.

I had and have a second Ameristep (I think it’s a Brickhouse). I think they’re great for what they do. Tie it down after you put it up, it sucks trying to shoot while you’re using one hand to try and hold it down. 😀
