Has anyone used this brand . I never heard of them before and then seen someone who was using them and recommended them . Was a hunting show from new zeland that they where using it .

They replace it with a new one. And they shoot for a 48-hour turnaround time. This is a huge service if it breaks during hunting season.

Riton Optics was established in 2013 in Tucson, Arizona. For that new of a company, they are making their presence known fast. They are aggressive.

They have a unique QC [quality control] system. The optics are inspected in Japan at the plant and then 100% inspected when they arrive in America. Then when an order is placed, they are again 100% inspected and repacked.(review Link)

Boo boo turrets if I remember right

Buddy of mine just got one for mid range shooting. I don’t know that he has much time behind it yet, but his initial impression was good. Not sure where he is coming from, but I know he hasn’t played with or shot high end optics.

The MOD 7 5-25 looks interesting. I'm not in the market though.

I have the RT-S Mod 5 Gen2 6-24x50 IR FFP on my Model 70 .264 win mag. I really like the scope. It is affordable, durable, has great HD glass. The turrets are not "mushy" as some folks say...at least to me anyway. There is a definite, positive click when the turrets are turned. It also tracks very well when adjusting. I had mine sighted in 1 inch high at 100 yards, I had an axis walk out and casually graze in front of me this past opening morning. I ranged him at 462 and thought....why not. I did the math adjusted for vertical, guessed at the windage and adjusted it, squeezed the trigger. Dead, and hit him right where I was aiming. Adjusted back to zero and when I got back to camp I fired at the 100 yard range we have and it tracked right back to the original....I was very impressed.


I personally think it is a great scope for the money and I'll definitely be buying more of them

I just wish it was a touch lighter...it weighs 30 oz. which seems a lot for a "featherweight' rifle
