I was so pleased with the experiment I did with a whole chicken in the fryer that I have decided to try a tenderloin. I'm going to use the same ingredients that I do when I put the loins on the grill:
1/4 cup cayenne powder 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon smoked paprika 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon ground mustard 2 tablespoons brown sugar Couple of tablespoons olive oil
I'll rub the spices into the loin and let it sit over night. I'm thinking that 20 minutes at 400 degrees ought to give me a loin with an internal temperature of 150-160.
Do any of you have any experience with the air fryer and pork tenderloins? I would like your suggestions on everything from the rub to the cooking times and temps!

Surely you aren’t putting that much cayenne?

Surely you aren’t putting that much cayenne? With that much cayenne it will cook itself.

Without the brown sugar, the spice mix would make a good popcorn seasoning.

The only thing I have learned about pork tenderloin this week is that it makes the BEST chicken fried steak I have ever tasted!! I may never eat it any other way from now on!

I did the loin, just as planned. Came out great. Sweet peas and smashed potatoes as sides. The only things I would change: the amount of brown sugar; I'll go with 1 tablespoon instead of 2; and more carefully monitor the cooking time to make sure it's done correctly. At 20 minutes and 400 degrees, it was registering 165-170 degrees, so I'll back it off to 15 minutes. The "bark" on it was great. I'll get a couple of pics up tomorrow, but just envision a pork tenderloin fresh off the grill. I be really lovin' my air fryer, now that I've discovered that it's not just for vegans to do their veggie thing!!

Here's the promised pic of the loin and sides: I'll be doing one of these bad boys again!
