I had these flank steaks tenderized so I could roll them into Pinwheel steaks. They are sometimes called London broil steaks also. Some people roll up spinach and different cheeses in the steaks but I like mine plain with bacon wrapped on the out side. The cost was about 28.00 which make them about 3.50 each. I haven`t had these since I had my own meat market. I will be putting these in the freezer till next weekend. Enjoy !!

I grill them like any other steak. I wrap them with bacon and season the with salt, pepper, garlic powder and Worcestershire. I like them over charcoal if I have a preference.

Here is the finished product. They were very tender and tasted great.

I’m assuming you cut them cross grain, is that correct?

They are tenderized with the grain and across the grain both. The finished product is actually cut across the grain but I don`t think it would matter either way. I roll them up in the manner that I do only because it make the steaks bigger around. I checked the temp with my Thermapen MK4 and it was 145-150 when I took them off the grill. I pre/cooked the bacon for 1 minute before wrapping and seasoned with Lawry`s seasoned salt. Lawry`s seasoned pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire, Soy sauce and bacon grease (on top) before hitting the grill. The bacon grease on top cooks down into the steak and gives it a nice flavor. Bon Appétit

interesting to do without anything inside the rolls ... I have done similar but with stuffing (cream cheese, hot pork sausage, spinach, onion, jalapeno, etc.)

Adding the bacon grease on top is a good idea.
Thanks for the suggestion.

A buddy used to stuff those with cream cheese, horseradish and crab meat. Good good good.
